Maharashtra police’s cyber wing has filed a case against online marketplaces and e-commerce platforms for selling T-shirts that glorify gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, citing potential negative influence on young minds. Platforms such as Flipkart and AliExpress were found selling these products, prompting Maharashtra Cyber to take legal action under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act. The cyber wing considers these products harmful for promoting criminal lifestyles through casual apparel, leading to the registration of a case against the responsible sellers.
