Maharashtra Cabinet Expanded, Devendra Fadnavis, His Deputies On Stage

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expanded his cabinet in Nagpur, with 39 ministers taking oath, including 19 from the BJP, 11 from the Shiv Sena, and 9 from the NCP. The delay in the expansion was due to a tussle over portfolios, with BJP leader Eknath Shinde settling for the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Fadnavis had been handling the home portfolio and the BJP was unwilling to relinquish control, leading to a compromise in the cabinet formation process.
