M6 closed after police incident with no reopening estimate

Traffic is heavily congested on the M6 northbound near Preston due to a police operation, with a closure between Junctions 28 and 30. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes as National Highways has not provided an estimated reopening time. Additionally, another section of the M6 near Warrington is closed following a serious crash, with no expected end time for that closure either. Diversions are in place for both incidents.
