A Kentucky man, James Farthing, won a $167.3 million Powerball jackpot but was arrested the following day after an altercation at a Florida resort. Following a physical confrontation, Farthing was charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer and other offenses, while his girlfriend, Jacqueline Fightmaster, faced charges for disorderly intoxication. Despite winning the lottery, Farthing remained in custody due to a parole violation warrant from Kentucky and had not yet decided on his payout option.
