As Los Angeles battles relentless wildfires fueled by drought conditions, low humidity, and powerful Santa Ana winds, at least 24 people have died and 23 are missing. The Palisades and Eaton fires have caused most of the damage, burning over 16,000 hectares. Thousands of responders are assisting, with more than 12,000 structures destroyed and over 105,000 people under evacuation orders. Red flag warnings are in place with winds expected to intensify until Wednesday evening. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power may cut power to high fire-risk areas as a precaution.
