Turner reached the quarterfinals on the show and credits music for giving him confidence on the football field. He also recently participated in a songwriting session with high school students alongside rapper Brandon “Stix” Salaam-Bailey. Turner’s experiences with music and football have allowed him to embrace his authentic self and find healing within the team environment.
