Liverpool to sell minority stake to consortium with Jeff Bezos

A consortium led by former Queens Park Rangers chairman Amit Bhatia, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has secured a definitive agreement to acquire a minority stake in Liverpool FC. Named 1892 Holdings, the group also features the Mittal Family Trusts, EE Capital, and K5 Sports. Fenway Sports Group, which maintains majority ownership, stated that Bhatia will be the new vice chairman and join the board, while Bezos will not hold a board position.
