The Treaty Principles Bill has passed its first reading and will be reviewed by the Justice Committee. Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke was suspended from the house after a disruptive haka during the vote on the bill. In the meantime, a large hīkoi opposing the legislation is making its way to Wellington, causing traffic disruptions in Hamilton.
