Libya’s Minister of Oil and Gas, Dr. Khalifa Abdulsadek, revealed plans to increase refining capacity to 400,000 bpd, aiming for self-sufficiency in refined petroleum products through local refineries. The country also focuses on natural gas production and exports, with a strategy to reduce flaring and maximize gas utilization for energy needs while addressing financing challenges to secure funds for energy projects despite political obstacles.
