Melbourne will be the host city for the first race of the 2025 Formula 1 season. The race will mark Lewis Hamilton’s debut for Ferrari. The 2025 Australian Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from March 14-16.

Lewis Hamilton’s highly anticipated first race for Ferrari will take place in Australia, as Formula 1 has confirmed Albert Park as the opening race of the 2025 season.

The official calendar was announced by F1 on Friday, with Melbourne hosting the season’s first race for the first time since 2019.

Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, revealed in February his decision to join Ferrari at the beginning of the upcoming season.

This move represents one of the most significant driver changes in F1 history.

In recent years, Bahrain has held the season opener, with Saudi Arabia also hosting a race at the start of the season.

Due to the Islamic holy month of Ramadan falling in March next year, Australia will kick off the 2025 season.

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will host rounds four and five next season.

The Australian Grand Prix weekend is set to take place from March 14-16.

The season finale will once again be held in Abu Dhabi from December 5-7.
