New Pope Announcement
John Prevost, brother of Cardinal Robert Prevost, celebrated his sibling’s election as the first U.S. pope, taking the name Leo XIV. Expressing pride and surprise, John remarked on Robert’s dedication to the poor, suggesting he might resemble a “second Pope Francis,” aiming for a balanced approach. Although they used to talk daily about various topics, John acknowledged the challenges ahead in maintaining their connection now that Robert has assumed his new responsibilities as the 267th pontiff of the Catholic Church.
