Leica has announced a 7% price increase for its products in Canada, effective May 1, 2025, due to U.S. tariffs impacting global pricing structure, as confirmed by the Calgary camera shop, The Camera Store. Despite inquiries for alternative pricing strategies, Leica stated the need for price parity with the U.S., citing complications in differentiating prices between the two countries. The tariffs are also affecting other brands, as seen in DJI and Blackmagic Design’s recent price hikes and operational changes.
