The U.S. Department of Justice seized approximately $15 billion in bitcoin from Chen Zhi, founder of Cambodia’s Prince Holding Group, who is accused of orchestrating a massive “pig butchering” scam that trafficked individuals for forced labor in fraudulent crypto investment schemes. Zhi, currently at large, allegedly used political connections to protect his criminal operations, which duped victims globally through false promises of profit.
