Katie Ledecky Celebrates World Record

Katie Ledecky broke her own world record in the 800m freestyle at the Pro Swim Series in Fort Lauderdale, clocking 8min 4.12sec, improving her previous record of 8:04.79 from the 2016 Rio Olympics. Gretchen Walsh also made waves by setting a new world record of 54.60sec in the 100m butterfly, having already broken her own record earlier in the day. Despite France’s Leon Marchand finishing without a win, he praised Ledecky and Walsh, calling their performances “another level.”
