In Lebanon, residents fear Hezbollah could be hiding among people displaced by war

Tarek Khoury, a guard in the Ashrafieh neighborhood of Beirut, is vigilant not only against theft but also against suspicious individuals who may be among the displaced population. This fear stems from Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah members, resulting in displacement of over 1.2 million people, mostly Shia Muslims. The neighborhood watch program was established to address concerns about crime during Lebanon’s economic crisis.
