Lebanon’s military reported a munitions explosion in the southern region killed an officer and two soldiers, following a previous blast that killed another soldier. The incident occurred during the army’s operations to dismantle Hezbollah’s infrastructure in accordance with a truce deal, with the explosion happening as ammunition was transported in an army vehicle in Braiqaa, leading to civilian injuries and damage to nearby property. President Joseph Aoun expressed condolences for the servicemen who died while maintaining security in the area, as investigations into the blast are underway.
