Ella Jackson, a Melbourne native and former recording engineer, unexpectedly became a fashion designer during the Covid pandemic, launching her label Catholic Guilt. Inspired by 1960s designer Paco Rabanne and various art forms, her intricate chain mail pieces have attracted attention at Paris Fashion Week and been worn by stars like Julia Fox. Despite disliking sewing, Jackson meticulously crafts each design, often taking thousands of hours to create. Currently, she is developing new pieces for Paris Fashion Week while completing an artist residency in Berlin.
