Lawyer Allegedly Claimed 28-Hour Workdays for Bonus

A lawyer, Samina Ahmed, was struck off for inflating her work hours to claim a £70,000 bonus at Tuckers Solicitors, where she worked for 17 years. Between July 2021 and June 2022, she logged an average of 28.24 hours a day, exceeding 24 hours on 133 days. Despite being warned about her fraudulent activities, she continued to manipulate her timesheets until her misconduct was discovered. The Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal deemed her actions as highly dishonest, ordering her to pay £5,000 and revoking her legal license.
