Nearly 12 million pounds of poultry and meat products have been recalled due to listeria concerns, impacting popular brands like Trader Joe’s and Costco. The recall, initiated by the FSIS, includes over 300 ready-to-eat items with best-by dates from June 19, 2025, to Oct. 8, 2025, sold at major grocery stores. Listeria symptoms can be severe, especially for vulnerable populations like pregnant individuals and newborns, with the potential for miscarriage, premature delivery, and life-threatening infections.
