Last chance this year to see the supermoon – NBC Chicago

November’s full Beaver Moon, a supermoon, will rise this week, marking the last supermoon until October 2025. The supermoon coincides with the Leonid meteor shower peaking this weekend, with up to 15 meteors per hour visible under ideal conditions. However, the bright supermoon may hinder visibility of the meteor shower, especially as the moon will be nearly full during the peak activity on Sunday.
