Health officials have confirmed that a second Australian teenager has died after drinking tainted alcohol in Laos, bringing the death toll of foreign tourists to six. Several people have been detained in connection with the poisoning, but no charges have been filed yet. The U.S. State Department has issued a health alert for travelers in Laos, warning of suspected methanol poisoning. Other countries have also reported citizens being affected by this poisoning incident. Various nationalities, including American, British, Danish, and New Zealand, have been affected by the incident. Laos, a communist state, has not released much information about the case.
