Sixty-five years after a tragic bus-train collision in Alberta that claimed the lives of 17 teens, survivors and community members gathered to honor their memories and bury a time capsule to be opened in 35 years. The crash occurred on November 29, 1960, as a train struck a school bus traveling from Chipman to Lamont. Survivors, including John Winnick and Mae Adamyk, recounted the horror of that day, emphasizing its lasting impact on their lives and the community. Memorial efforts, including scholarships and monuments, continue to ensure that the victims are not forgotten.
