A Labrador named Tokyo had to be rescued from Ben Nevis, Scotland’s highest mountain, after she exhibited severe symptoms believed to be caused by ingesting cannabis. While hiking with her owner, Christina Bluhme, Tokyo lost the ability to use her legs and started drifting in and out of consciousness. Bluhme contacted the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team for assistance when she realized she could not safely carry her 25-kilogram dog down the steep terrain. After being successfully carried off the mountain, Tokyo was taken to a veterinary clinic and made a full recovery the following day. Bluhme expressed immense gratitude to the rescue team and urged other dog owners to be cautious of harmful substances in outdoor settings.
