Father who fractured baby’s skull on trial for murder after she died from injuries six years later

Kyle Kitchen, convicted of causing grievous bodily harm to his daughter Primrose Kane in 2014, is now standing trial for murder after she died six years later from injuries sustained when he violently shook her as a newborn. Primrose suffered severe brain injuries, cerebral palsy, and other health issues, living a life entirely reliant on carers until her death at the age of six in 2021. Despite her disabilities, she attended a special school and was described as “characterful” by her headteacher.
