Auckland Commuters Warned of Upcoming Congestion in March

Auckland commuters are being advised to prepare for March Madness, the peak period for the city’s transport network. Rachel Cara, Auckland Transport’s public transport operations manager, warns that congestion is expected to rise by at least 6.7%. Over the next few weeks, the transport network will handle more than two million passenger journeys weekly, with 13,500 daily trips including 500 school routes. Planning for this surge takes a full year to ensure adequate service.
