In a north London classroom, three 13 and 14-year-old girls admit to being targeted by criminals for “county lines” drug-dealing gangs, experiencing threats and manipulation. At an after-school workshop, expert mentors work to steer at-risk children away from exploitation, knife crime, and gangs, using creative arts and conflict resolution techniques. Funded by London’s VRU, The Safety Box provides crucial intervention sessions to help vulnerable teens avoid falling into a dangerous criminal underworld.
