Kibbutz Nir Oz survivor wants to return home despite trauma

Liat Atzili, a survivor of the Hamas attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz, is determined to return home despite losing her husband and home in the rampage. Thirty-eight residents were killed and 75 kidnapped in the attack, leaving the kibbutz as one of the most devastated communities. Atzili is committed to rebuilding the community in memory of her husband and believes in finding ways to live together amidst the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
