Kenya human rights groups raise concerns over abductions of government critics

The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights is alarmed by the increasing number of government critics who have gone missing, with four more disappearing over the weekend, bringing the total to 82 since June’s anti-government protests. The commission warned that Kenya is regressing to the days of disappearances under the late President Moi, with police allegedly involved despite denying it. Human rights groups are calling for accountability and justice, while European envoys have expressed concerns over enforced disappearances and urged President Ruto to take action.
