A home in Kardinya was destroyed by a fire around 3:30 PM on Monday, believed to be caused by an electrical fault in a solar panel. A father and son were alerted to the blaze by a neighbor, while about ten firefighting crews battled the large fire, which took approximately 30 minutes to control and prompted a smoke alert for nearby areas.
