Jury convicts former Kentucky officer of using excessive force on Breonna Taylor during deadly raid

The 12-member jury convicted Louisville police officer Brett Hankison for firing 10 shots into Breonna Taylor’s glass door and windows during a deadly raid, marking the first conviction of an officer involved in the incident. Hankison was cleared of a charge of using excessive force on Taylor’s neighbors, with some jury members in tears as the verdict was read after more than 20 hours of deliberation over three days.
