The owners of S&W Atlas Iron & Metal, accused of exposing South L.A. high school students to toxic waste, were jailed for violating a court order by accepting explosive materials. The Weisenbergs face trial on 25 counts related to hazardous waste disposal next to Jordan High School, where dangerous projectiles and high lead levels were found. Despite defense arguments, the judge determined the risk to the community was too great, ordering them jailed until a bail hearing on Monday.
