Judge grants bail to Longueuil woman accused of scalding child with boiling water

A Longueuil woman, Stephanie Borel, was granted bail after being charged with aggravated assault for scalding a 10-year-old Black boy with hot water. The judge imposed conditions including living with her son, avoiding the victim’s home and school, and staying away from a protected witness. The identities of the victim and witness are subject to a publication ban.
