Texas judge allows Camp Mystic to remain open but halts construction due to flooding

A Texas judge has issued a temporary injunction preventing alterations to Camp Mystic, the site of a deadly flooding incident last July that claimed 27 lives, including 8-year-old Cecilia “Cile” Steward. The ruling ensures that the area where the flooding occurred remains sealed off while ongoing lawsuits seek to preserve evidence related to the tragedy. Families of victims have raised concerns over safety and the camp’s reopening, prompting further legal actions against the state and the camp’s owners.
