Jordan has urged Russian authorities to cease the illegal recruitment of its citizens to fight in the war, following the deaths of two Jordanians in the Russian military. The Jordanian Foreign Ministry stated it would take “all available measures” to stop such recruitment, which it deems a violation of both domestic and international law. The ministry’s warning also addressed external entities working online to facilitate these recruitments. Ukraine estimates that Russia has enlisted thousands of foreign fighters, predominantly from North Korea and Africa.
