Jony Ive Joins OpenAI in Major Deal
Jony Ive, the renowned former Apple designer behind the iPhone and iPad, has joined OpenAI through a $6.5 billion merger with his startup, LoveFrom. Ive will spearhead design efforts at OpenAI, working on devices that integrate generative AI capabilities, a collaboration that began two years ago between him and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. A prototype device has already been developed, with the goal of enabling users to create innovative outputs using AI technology.
