Jon Stewart Extends “The Daily Show” Hosting
Jon Stewart will continue hosting Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” every Monday through December 2026, maintaining his presence during the upcoming midterm elections. Paramount’s announcement confirms his ongoing commitment to the show, which he originally helmed from 1999 to 2015. Amid challenges in late-night comedy and shifts in media ownership, Stewart’s return is seen as a boost for the genre. He remains an executive producer, with other hosts filling in for the remaining days of the week.
