Joe Mazzulla Discusses Rotation Change in Celtics’ Victory Over Pacers

On Dec. 22, the Boston Celtics overcame a 20-point deficit against the Indiana Pacers, winning 103-95, thanks in part to a strong performance from their second unit, led by Anfernee Simons with nine points in the third quarter. Coach Joe Mazzulla utilized the team’s depth strategically, pulling starters Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and Payton Pritchard to change the game’s pace. The victory improved the Celtics’ record to 18-11, placing them third in the Eastern Conference, three games behind the Knicks. Initially viewed as underdogs, the Celtics are now seen as strong contenders for a deep postseason run.
