Jimmies track and field hosts annual Al Cassel Classic

The University of Jamestown track and field teams hosted the 2025 Al Cassell Classic on April 19, achieving three first-place finishes at Charlotte and Gordon Hansen Stadium. Tyler Dean won the men’s discus with a throw of 45.71 meters, while Heather Okeson claimed victory in the women’s discus with a season-best throw of 38.60 meters; Dawson Sedivec also won the hammer throw event. Overall, the Jimmies secured 46 top-five finishes, including six second-place finishes, and will compete again at the Viking Twilight meet on April 22.
