Armed police swarm LynnMall Shopping Centre hunting person of interest

Armed police evacuated LynnMall in West Auckland while searching for a person of interest following an armed robbery in a nearby suburb. Shoppers reported hearing a “boom” as a man ran into the mall; however, police confirmed no shots were fired, and one person was arrested near Cotton On. The incident prompted a lockdown of the shopping center as police pursued two suspects who had allegedly threatened a victim with a firearm and fled in the victim’s vehicle, which was tracked to the mall.
