Japan defeated the Philippines 7-0 in the Women’s Asian Cup quarter-finals, securing a spot in the semi-finals against South Korea. The win marks Japan’s tenth consecutive World Cup appearance, as they have scored a tournament-high 24 goals without conceding. Toko Koga scored twice, with additional goals from Mina Tanaka, Remina Chiba, Manaka Matsukubo, Momoko Tanikawa, and Riko Ueki. The Philippines will play Uzbekistan in a playoff for World Cup qualification.
