Pakistan athletes permitted to compete in India for multilateral sports event

India’s sports ministry has announced that Pakistani athletes will be permitted to compete in multilateral events hosted in India, while bilateral competitions, including cricket, will remain banned. The visa application process for Pakistani sports personnel will be streamlined, with multi-entry visas granted to officials from international sports bodies. This decision follows ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, which have prevented regular bilateral cricket matches since 2012-13.
