In an effort to revive its population, the village of Ollolai in Sardinia, Italy, is offering dilapidated homes for as little as one euro to American expats following the US presidential elections. Mayor Francesco Columbu is specifically targeting Americans to help revive the community, offering three tiers of accommodation ranging from free temporary homes to ready-to-occupy houses for up to $105,000. Despite previous housing schemes, only 10 homes have been sold and renovated, leaving approximately 100 cheap homes still available for purchase.
