A Sardinian politician, Emanuele Cani, accidentally shattered a historic stained glass window by artist Mario Sironi while attending a conference in Rome. The mishap, captured on camera, occurred as he tripped and fell through the artwork titled ‘Labour Charter,’ commissioned by Mussolini’s regime in 1932. Cani expressed his deep regret over the incident, which surprised attendees at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy reception. Sironi’s work, depicting industrialization efforts, remains a controversial symbol due to the artist’s ties to fascism.
