A group of Israeli volunteer rescue workers from Zaka, who were deeply affected by a brutal attack in southern Israel, participated in a therapy retreat involving bonfires, singing, and releasing negative thoughts. Led by psychologist Vered Atzmon Meshulam, the retreat aimed to help the rescuers cope with the trauma they experienced. Zaka has now implemented a resilience department and therapy programs to support their volunteers in dealing with extreme trauma, acknowledging the importance of taking care of those who care for others.
