Israel/Palestine: Statement by the High Representative on the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice

The High Representative acknowledges the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice regarding Israel’s construction of the separation barrier in Palestinian territory. The High Representative urges both parties to abide by their obligations under international law and work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The EU remains committed to supporting a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as the capital of both states.
