The operation has led to a total lockdown, with reports of new metal barriers being installed, indicating a tightening of control. This action occurs near the Ibrahimi Mosque amid ongoing tensions and has resulted in multiple arrests. Since October 2023, over 1,080 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank amid the broader conflict.
