Israel expands its bombardment in Lebanon as tens of thousands flee

Israel escalated its bombardment in Lebanon, hitting Beirut’s southern suburbs with twelve airstrikes and targeting a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon for the first time. The attack on the Beddawi camp near Tripoli resulted in the death of an official with Hamas’ military wing, his wife, and two young daughters. Hamas also reported the death of another member in a separate Israeli strike.
