Israel Cancels Friday Prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque Amid Iran Conflict

The Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem will be closed on Friday to worshippers and visitors of all faiths due to the Iran conflict. The closure is part of Israeli restrictions imposed at Islam’s third-holiest site during Ramadan, following retaliatory strikes from Iran. Israeli authorities have also closed other holy sites in the Old City, including the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Israeli restrictions on access to Al-Aqsa predate the conflict, with concerns of increased Israeli encroachment on the site.
