Israel Strikes Lebanon Every Four Hours Amid Ceasefire Breakdown
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

It’s been over a year since a ceasefire was agreed in Lebanon, yet tensions remain high, with ACLED reporting 1,846 Israeli attacks on Lebanon and an average of six bombings per day in December. The UN mission, UNIFIL, notes over 10,000 violations of the ceasefire, while Israel claims Hezbollah is rebuilding military infrastructure, a charge denied by Hezbollah and UNIFIL. Since the ceasefire began, at least 127 civilians have died due to these Israeli attacks. Israel retains control of several military bases in southern Lebanon, contrary to the ceasefire agreement’s requirements.
