MONUSCO condemns the attacks by the ADF ‘in the strongest possible terms’, the mission’s spokesperson says.
ISIL-backed ADF rebels have killed at least 52 civilians in the DRC’s North Kivu province this month, prompting MONUSCO to condemn the violence and reinforce its military presence. The attacks, which include kidnappings and property destruction, coincide with ongoing tensions between the DRC army and M23 rebel group despite a recent ceasefire agreement.
